Fenris' humor was always difficult to read; Anders barked a brief nervois laugh. Really, that would be a terrible end to his rescue attempt. The night air was brisk and thin, the stars glittering bright against the black of the sky. Anders felt almost no relief; he knew they were not even close to safety.
"Well assuming you're in a gracious mood and have decided not to kill me, I'd like to take you back to Kirkwall. I've a clinic there, and you were squatting in a lovely corpse filled mansion."
Still keeping with the hurried pace, Anders gestured for Fenris to follow him. "We've got to take ship before someone comes looking. I don't doubt The Magister will be displeased that he's again lost his favorite pet. I'd... really rather not trifle with him."
