Canon Point: Rough middle of act 2
Gender: Male
Age: Never stated, I'll estimate about 28
Birthdate/Sign: The birthdate was never stated cannonly, but after reviewing the different signs I would call him a Virgo (I will explain my justification below). August 23 seems like a good birthday to me.
Tattoo: collar bone, on the left side. Three inches in diameter.
Suitability: I believe Anders is very suited to this sign. In the personality section, I have described his traits and they match up very very well with those listed under the Virgo sign. Speaking for the game, I think Anders fits in very well. He's an adult who is fine taking care of himself, and his sense of humor and will to help others make him a good candidate for being thrown into a situation like this.
Power: HEALING. It's the ability Anders uses most in-game, and not only that but it's a Virgo attribute! I thought it fitting. In game he's shown be able to revive someone from deep unconsciousness, as well as heal wounds inflicted in battle. I think allowing this power (and barring his others) works just fine for him.

Personality:

Anders wears his wit on his sleeve. He jokes quite commonly, and if there be an opportunity for a snappy one liner you'd better believe he'll jump on it! That's not to say he's always jesting; there are things that bring out a more serious persona in him, but as long as one avoids his hot button issues he's happiest and most comfortable with teasing and joking. This aspect plays into his charm; when he's not in a darker mood, Anders will playfully flirt and compliment, too. He's had sexual relations with both woman and men, and in his earlier years used to be quite the heart-breaker. He was always generous and indiscriminate with his affections.

Anders is also very helpful. In DA2, he runs his own clinic in the worst part of town, and heals the sick and needy without demanding a single thing in return; he doesn't even charge for his services, because of how acutely he feels the needs of his countrymen. This demonstrates his altruism, as well, though it isn't all selfless. Anders is not without blood on his hands, and giving back helps ease his conscious. He is at least organized enough to run his own clinic, and is so dedicated that he will push himself passed the point of exhaustion to help those in need. Anders treats his patience with warmth, patience, and respect.

Anders is not always flowers and sunshine, though. He is very VERY dogmatic, especially when it comes to the oppression of mages in his world (whom he feels a very strong responsibility for). There is almost no room in his mind for reconsideration; he is RIGHT and others should appreciate the rightness of his argument. He an get quite forceful about his opinions, too.

Anders can be rather cranky when he's worn down and dragged into issues he'd rather not be a part of. Contrary to his usual persona, he'll turn down attempts to joke and remain pretty stubbornly sour, despite the goings on around him. When he gets fixated on something, it's very hard to derail him. He'll respond irritably to those who may try and lighten his mood. Finally, Anders can be vicious with his arguments; he's quick to ignore his own faults and turn the attention on the faults of the person fighting with him. He's quicker to criticize harshly once he's gotten angry, rather than think about anything being said to him.

✖ SAMPLES:
"Zodion" First-Person Network Entry:

[The feed clicks on to show a handsome but wary face. Anders' brow is creased in concentration as he figures the workings of the strange little device, and it's a good minute before he realizes that it's recording him]

Oh! [Surprise melts into a tired frown]

Does... anyone else feel at all uncomfortable with wearing a strange brand? Perhaps it is only personal experience that fuels my discomfort, but... [He trails off, shaking his head]

I can't help but feel as though 'The Twelve' are being more than a little selfish. I can't imagine that I was the only one with things to do from where I came. I don't appreciate having my plans put on hold, but then I don't imagine complaining about it will do much good, either.

Maker, what I wouldn't give to be able to enjoy a nice cold mug of ale.

"Zodionlogs" Third-Person Prose Entry: (200 word min)

Anders warily followed the instructions he had been handed; he took the path and found the apartment that had been designated to him, located the strange plastic currency and set to exploring the town. Part of him was still holding out for the moment he would wake up, and be home in the narrow bed of his clinic.

But the gift of a home and currency seemed to hint that he would be here for the long haul, and as much as Anders wanted to believe he would be sent home, part of his mind was already turning towards what good he could do whilst here.

He walked the streets, but they lacked the poor and sick that clogged the narrow passages of Darktown. As much as he could be happy for it, Anders began to feel as though his purpose was slipping. If this place had no need for a healer (or less of a need than that of Kirkwall) than why was he taken?

The mage sighed, and wilted into a bench. His fingers pinched the bridge of his nose as he sat and contemplated, oblivious to the person sitting beside him on the bench. Seconds passed and his senses caught up with him.

"Oh, my apologies, I did not mean to intrude," he said, turning to his benchmate with a tired smile.
